OUTDOOR WORSHIP SERVICE AND FIRST INTERGENERATIONAL SERVICE – The Worship Committee is planning an Outdoor Service on September 9 followed by a Potluck. The first Intergenerational Service of the fall is scheduled at Park Place on September 9 also. Details to follow.

If you are looking for a men’s workout/fellowship group, this is it! There are also Bible study options if you want that as well. Questions? Contact Randy Shelton or Joel Zuidema.

FROM THE DEACONS – The Deacons would like to thank the congregation for their continued strong financial support for the general fund which supports the various ministries of the church. We are particularly thankful for the generous outpouring of funds in support of our new missionaries. We are encouraged that Pathway has a heart for missions. Cards with information about our new missionaries that can be hung on your refrigerator as a reminder to pray for them and their ministry will be at the information table again on Sunday. The card lists their birthday and anniversary dates and we know that they would appreciate receiving a note or card for their birthdays and Christmas.

The Deacons would like to remind everyone of the convenience of online giving. This option allows members to give consistently even when they are not able to be at church. The website has been updated to make the process easier. The direct link to the giving page is www.pathwaycrc.org/giving

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Do you have a love for infants and young children? Why not serve in the Pathway Nursery about once a month? If you are willing and available to help, please email the church office at pathwayadmin@pathwaycrc.org.

Opportunities to Serve

Save the Date for our Family Super Hero Event:  Saturday, October 13 from 11:00 am. - 3:00 pm. here at Crown Point Christian School. We will have lots of fun games and activities planned along with visits from several Super Heroes. Tickets will be going on sale soon!

Pastor Joel and Terri met many new people and many of our Park Place friends this week at a Senior Fair that was held at Park Place. What a blessing we are for each other!

Thank You to all those who donated blood last Sunday! We had 15 donors and that helped save about 50 people that need blood! So appreciated!

If you have any questions on the above, please contact Terri Schaaf at pathwayoutreach@pathwaycrc.org.

From Pastor Joel

The Smryna Church was getting crushed by persecutors. There are no words of correction at all for this church. Only words of encouragement. They are told to not be afraid of the persecution they are about to suffer, and to remain faithful, even to the point of death. How does this help? These words come from the one who died and came to life again. How can the resurrected, enthroned Jesus think these words encourage us and them?

Come and hear! It really is great encouragement once we zoom out from our pain to see Him who died but is now alive and ascended.

See you on Sunday,
